The agrichemical contract research department at PSI serves companies developing products specifically targeted for the California small fruit industries (strawberries and caneberries, in particular). Laboratory, greenhouse and field efficacy trials are conducted to develop data in support of new product registrations. Resistance induction studies and sensitivity monitoring assays are carried out using various pests/pathogens, to assist clients with product labeling and stewardship needs. Our research activities help keep our in-house licensed PCAs current with the latest developments in the agrichemical industry, such that new and effective pest management tools can be appropriately incorporated into our grower-service IPM programs in a timely manner.

Our research facilities include laboratories and research farms in three California locations: Watsonville (Central Coast), Manteca (San Joaquin Valley) and San Marcos (South Coast, South Desert). These facilities allow us to conduct all types of field trials without limitation to geography.
